Summer Camps!   

-RockBand Camp June 10th-14th, July 8th-12th  If you haven’t signed up yet…. hurry, hurry, hurry! The camps are almost full! If you can’t participate in the camp please come to the shows on June 15th and July 13th, 5pm at The Alamo!

-Blue Grass Camp July 15th-19th    Back for the 2nd year in a row after great success, BGC is a wonderful opportunity for musicians of all levels to experience playing in a group setting. The performance will be Friday the 19th, 7pm at Vinylyte Records &n Brown’s Guitar Mill Stage on the square.

Musicology Rock Band Camp shirts are available for only $15 each!  Please email your design choice and size to Ashley at Musicology as soon as possible. You can make payment upon delivery of your shirt. Design choices are Camper, Supporter “Groupie”, or Supporter “I’m with the band”Size are all Adult: small, medium, large, xtra -large and 2 xtra-largePre-ordered shirts will be available by the performance at the Alamo.Cash or check made out to Ashley Vasconcelles accepted.

                       Musicology Is Excited To Acknowledge 30yrs for Doug Kees!

June 22nd, Doug Kees is putting on a concert to commemorate his 30th year teaching & performing in Coweta County! Come celebrate this big night with us. Advance tickets at or at the door night of the show.

Get Ready For “Roots and Boughs” Along with a great event to recognize 30 years of musical service Doug Kees will be releasing Roots and Bough, his first solo album of acoustical instrumentals! Details at

Rates Go Up In July  Staring July 1st we will have the first rate increase for all services at Musicology since Aug 2014. Monthly tuition will be $130 for 30 min lessons and $260 for hour lessons. The individual lesson rates will be $33/$65 for 30min/hr sessions. Group lesson rates will be $35 per hour per student. The rest of our policies will remain the same.

Musicology’s David Puett Take part in Ken Burn’s Documentary  The Kris Youmans Band, with member David Puett, have been asked by GPTV to help promote the upcoming Ken Burn’s documentary on country music airing this September. They will be filmed and recorded locally to support the release of this highly anticipated film.
